Meet the Hannah’s House staff!

Susan, Executive Director

Hello, my name is Susan, and I’m grateful to be working at Hannah’s House as the Executive Director!  In my earlier life, I was an elementary teacher, principal and eventually studied and taught at MSU for several years in the College of Education.  Here at Hannah’s House, I value the opportunity to participate in the formation of young women as they learn more about what it means to be a Woman, a Mother and a Beloved Daughter of the Father above.  Along with these “spiritual identities” grounded in a life of faith in Christ, we support the women in learning life skills and habits that will bode well for their future lives as a single Moms in the wider community.  It is a joy to see new life among us – both little persons and their moms growing into the fullness of Life continually offered to us by our Maker.  I am grateful to be a part of the lives of the women whom God brings to us.  Please pray with us that we will always cooperate with His work in our lives – that we will each day, say a resounding “Yes!” to his invitation to follow Him. (Oh, and did I say I’m a grandmother to a 3 year old!! How could I forget to say that?!)

Jenn, Development Coordinator

Hello! I’m Jenn, the Development Coordinator (and the person you’re talking to on Facebook) here at Hannah’s House. I graduated from MSU in 2018 with a degree in neuroscience and have spent the time since then working in largely unrelated jobs. Hannah’s House is no exception, but I’m thrilled to be on staff here and hope (by the grace of God) to expand our ability to serve women and their babies in our community.

My inbox is always open at hannahshousedevelop@gmail.com.

Mikayla, House Manager

Hello, I’m Mikayla, a House manager here at Hannah’s House! I graduated from Moody Bible Institute in December of 2023 with a degree in Missional leadership! I enjoy overseas missions but more recently have been led by the Lord to serve at Hannah’s House and at my church, City Life Lansing! It’s been more joy to be a part of the team for only such a short time, but expectant to see how the Lord works in the coming months!

Faith, House Manager

Hi! I’m Faith, a student at Great Lakes Christian College, pursing biblical studies and psychology. I am very grateful God has given me this opportunity to not only to put my newly learned skills into action, but to love and serve the mothers of the Lansing community.

Tina, House Manager

Hello, I’m Tina. I am married with a teenage daughter. A member of Mt. Hope Church, I have a background that runs deep in caregiving in various contexts, including helping care for and raise young children for a family member in need. I’m loving having a nearly full house here at Hannah’s House.

Lethia, House Manager

Hi, I’m Lethia! I’m newly married and attend Most Holy Rosary, in Middleville, as I am not a Lansing resident or native– a born and raised Michigander though! I have a vast background in behavioral therapy, culinary arts, and sidewalk counseling for Pro-Life groups. I first became involved in Pro-Life outreach and activism in my early 20s through the St. Joseph County chapter of Right to Life. Since then, we’ve become an independent organization –Citizens for Life of Southwest Michigan– where I have served on the executive board for a few years now. This work has truly been a calling, one that my teenage self would have never guessed. But I thank the Lord everyday for leading me down this path, which has now  brought me to Hannah’s House. I’m deeply honored and delighted to be a vessel of goodwill, support, and encouragement for the residents here and my fellow staff members. It has been a wonderful experience thus far and I’m excited for what’s next at this mission!

Ellen, House Manager

My name is Ellen, a married Christian mother of 3 girls and member of Trinity Church of all Nations in Lansing. I am a current graduate student pursuing a Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling with Siena Heights University. I graduated with a BSc (hons) in Health and Social Systems Management with the University of Manchester. I previously served in a 5 year project on achieving HIV epidemic control in Malawi and also served as Nurse in various settings including clinical and home-based/palliative care for a decade. I am grateful to God for this opportunity to serve mothers and their babies at Hannah’s House.
